Over the past decade, significant investments have been made to expand schools, train teachers, and improve access to higher education. Programs like Afirmasi Pendidikan Tinggi (ADik) have sent thousands of Papuan students to top Indonesian universities, while new vocational schools are equipping youth with skills in agriculture, technology, and renewable energy. In remote areas, digital classrooms powered by the Palapa Ring project are connecting students with teachers in Jakarta and Bandung, bridging geographic divides. Culturally responsive curricula ensure that Papuan students learn not only national standards but also their local languages, histories, and traditions.
